The strength of our Company is the high capability to choose and utilize in the best way possible the technology which is available. Production processes are planned in order to avoid or reduce to a minimum extend manual and recovery processing.

Design
“Mollificio Mazzoni” Company has a sound spring project development department, that can best support and counsel our customer during industrialization process.
Thanks to the most up-to-date softwares (in 2D and 3D), to the skills of specialized technicians and to the workshop fully equipped with drilling machines, EDM and microdrillers, the company can self design and build all the equipments and tools needed for own production.
Our production includes:
Cylindrical, conical or biconical compression springs, made with round, square or rectangular wire, with constant or variable pitch compression, produced with Wafios® spring coilers in small or big series
Extension springs made with round, square or rectangular wire, with any type of hook (German, English, double, elongated, etc), produced with Wafios® spring coilers, hook makers and torsion spring coilers in small or big series
Torsion springs of any type, (simple, with double torsion, etc) made with round, square or rectangular wire produced with Wafios® torsion spring coilers in small or big series
Shaped springs made with round, square or rectangular wire, produced in any shape and size with Wafios® and Bihler® benders in small or big series
Sheared and shaped strip springs made with press tools or equipment on Bihler® machines, completely made in-house in small or big series
Rings made with round, square or rectangular wire, produced with Wafios® spring coilers and torsion spring coilers in small or big series
Assembly we have at our disposal a manual assembly line for parts of our own production or purchased by our customers.
Materials
The mostly used materials are:
- Carbon steel wire, SM (technical datasheet), SH (technical datasheet), DH (technical datasheet) class, according to EN 10270-1, also zinc preplated (technical datasheet) or Bezinal®
- Oil prehardened steel wire according to EN 10270-2 (technical datasheet).
- Stainless steel wire 1.4310 (AISI302) (technical datasheet), 1.4301 (AISI304) (technical datasheet), 1.4401 (AISI316) (technical datasheet) according to EN 10270-3 and others upon request.
- Copper alloys (brass, phosphorous bronze) according to EN 12166.
- Special materials (according to customer’s needs)
Treatments:
Thermal stabilization, washing, oiling, shot peening, sand blast treatments are made in-house.
